Appeal for Dash-Cam Footage in Relation to Brampton Homicide
Region of Peel – Investigators from the Homicide Bureau are appealing for dash-cam footage from members of the public pertaining to a recent murder which occurred in Brampton.
On Saturday, October 19, 2024, shortly after 6:00 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at an industrial plaza on Rutherford Road South near Selby Road in Brampton, once on scene police located multiple victims within an SUV.
22-year-old Marsha Khadija Charmant was located suffering from gunshot wounds, she was pronounced deceased on the scene.
A second victim, an adult woman was also shot and was taken to hospital in serious condition. Two other victims, an adult man, and a woman were taken to hospital with injuries. Two other occupants of the vehicle were not physically injured.
The suspect(s) fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.
As investigators work to identify a suspect vehicle, they are appealing to anyone with dash-cam equipped vehicles and driving on Rutherford Road South between Queen St and Steeles Avenue between 5:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. to please contact the Homicide Bureau by calling 905-453-2121, ext 3205.
